Description	:	Orville was b. on a farm nr the wee town of Rio, Rio Twp, Knox Co., IL, the s/o Simeon Grant & Lucy Atwood PRUITT Heflin. Like so many other members of the Heflin Clan, Simeon removed his family to Iowa seeking fertile land, and some did so via the BLM Land Patent Program. The 1885 Iowa State Census stated that they were living in Sec. 6, T79N R37W, in Jackson Twp, Shelby Co., IA. This is just a stone's throw NE/o Harlan, Orville met and married Della May, prob. in Harlan as she was from that area, on 21 Mar 1895.... By 1925, Orville & Della were living @ 102-9th Street in Harlan City, and prob. remained there for the remainder of their lives. They are both bur. in the HARLAN CEMETERY.
