Pierson and Amelia Dillon Pierson, he was born June 25, 1911, in Skidmore, MO. On Jan 23, 1938 he married Myrtle Lea Heller in Maryville. Mr. Pierson was a retired farmer and he had been a Nodaway County ASC supervisor for several years. He then owned and operated Pierson Hardware in Burlington Jct. Pierson and Amelia Dillon Pierson, he was born June 25, 1911, in Skidmore, MO. On Jan 23, 1938 he married Myrtle Lea Heller in Maryville. Mr. Pierson was a retired farmer and he had been a Nodaway County ASC supervisor for several years. He then owned and operated Pierson Hardware in Burlington Jct. He retired in 1970, but remained active in the operation of Pierson Apartments until 1983. A resident of Maryville for 15 years, he was a member of the Countryside Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Lea Pierson of the home; one daughter, Dorene Updike, Liberty; two sons, Dean Pierson, Kansas City, and Dennis Pierson, Maryville; three brothers, Dale Pierson, Hemet, Calif., Cecil Pierson, Quitman, and Lowell V. "Buddy" Pierson, Longview, Wash.; two sisters, Jennie Maye Sweitzer, Appleton, Wisc., and Thelma Landstrom, Omaha, NE; and five grandchildren, J.D. Updike, Donavon Updike, and Johanna Updike, Liberty, and Tausha Pierson and Travis Pierson, Maryville. Services are planned for 1:30 p.m.
