Interment was in the Willow Township Cemetery, east of Coon Rapids, with Pastor Bob Rogers officiating. Honorary casket bearers were: Ronald Onnen, Tom Crosier, Dean Mozena, Neil Mozena, Tom Thomas, Richard Petersen and Sam Grabill. Mozena, the son of Sherman and Martha (Pevestorf) Mozena, was born May 29, 1911, in Greene County, and died Feb. 26, 2003, at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson." "Orville attended a Greene County country school and graduated for the eighth grade. He attended one year of high school in Coon Rapids." "On Dec. 20, 1933, he was united in marriage to Esther Krauel at the Methodist Church Parsonage in Jefferson. This marriage was blessed with two children: Ronald and Carol. After their marriage, the couple farmed south of Coon Rapids, lived awhile in Greene County and then moved to Guthrie County. The couple has owned their present farm south of Bayard, for the past 42 years. Esther Mozena passed away in January of 1995 and Orville continued to make his home on the farm. For the past three years, Orville had been a resident of the Bayard Nursing Home." "Orville was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Coon Rapids and was baptized and confirmed Oct. 27, 1935 at this church." "Preceding him in death were his parents: his wife, Esther, and his three brothers: Robert, Theodore, and Forrest." "He is survived by his son, Ronald and his wife, Wanda Sue, of Bayard; his daughter, Carol and her husband, John Withhart, of Denison; five grandchildren: Wendy Spafford and husband, Dan; Amy Mozena; Stacy Schiltz and husband, Sean; Misty Kudrna and husband, Gary; and Christopher Withhart; four great-grandchildren: Daniel Spafford; Sydney and Sawyer Schiltz; and Austin Kudrna; a half-brother, Lincoln Thomas and his wife, Norma, of Bayard; a brother-in-law, LaVerne Krauel and wife, Geneva, of Mesa, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Faye Krauel of Gray."
