Read More	Orville Hilan Stuart Orville Hilan Stuart, 75, 1205 E. Grant, Centerville, was born June 24, 1895, near North Bend, Iowa, and passed away October 23, 1970, at the St. Josephs Mercy Hospital, where he had been a patient for three days. In 1964 he suffered a heart attack and in 1966 a cerebral hemorrhage and had been in ill health since that time. He had been a resident of Appanoose County all his life, except for a period of about three years, when as a child he lived in Davis City, Decatur County, Iowa; and a resident of Centerville for 45 years, where he owned and operated an auto repair shop at 1205 E . Grant. He was the son of William M. and Sarah Gibson Stuart. On November 27, 1926, he was united in marriage to Eleanor E. Lowe, by the Rev. James A. Wilson, at the First Methodist Church parsonage in Mystic, Iowa. She survives his passing as do one son, David, of Centerville; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Orvella) Wright of California, Missouri; a daughter-in-law, Emily Stuart; a son-in-law, Robert Wright; three grandchildren, Billy Stuart; Lauri and Scott Wright; and a step-mother Ella Stuart of Clarkdale. His parents; a step-mother Dorah Nash Stuart; a step-mother Rosa Nash Stuart; an infant son, Melvin Hilan, and an infant grandson, Bobby Wright, preceded him in death. He was a Veteran of World War I, serving in France and Belgium, and a member of the Veterans of World War I, Barracks 1623. He was also a 50-year member of the American Legion. When a young man, he became a member of the Walnut City Christian Church. In 1937, he transferred his membership to the First United Methodist Church in Centerville, attending as long as his health permitted. Services were held Sunday, October 25, 2:00 p. m., at the First United Methodist Church in Centerville with Rev. Cecil Latta officiating. Max Ellis, accompanied by Mrs. Marilyn Hixon, sang "Still, Still with Thee" and "Abide with Me." Military rites conducted by the American Legion and burial were held in the Philadelphia Cemetery west of Brazil, Iowa. Pallbearers were the following nephews: Milo Murphy, Clifford Murphy, Harold Zeck, Carleous De Vore, Frank Heckart, and Arthur Seddon.
