Description	:	Funeral services will be Thurs., May 10, for Orville J. Olson, 83, Egan, who died on May 7, 2007, at Golden Living Center in Madison. The services will be held in Egan United Methodist Church, and burial will be in Hillside Cemetery there. Olson was born on Sept. 13, 1923, in Moody County to Carl and Sena (Bonrud) Olson. He received his education in Blinsmon Country School and married Ruth Kordahl on Dec. 23, 1941, at Crookston, Minn. Olson was born on Sept. 13, 1923, in Moody County to Carl and Sena (Bonrud) Olson. He received his education in Blinsmon Country School and married Ruth Kordahl on Dec. 23, 1941, at Crookston, Minn. He started farming and was also in the trucking business until 1961, when he retired from farming and purchased the Egan Bar. He sold cars for Southside Motors in Pipestone, Minn., for several years. They moved to Brookings in 1974 and he worked for 3M until retiring and moving to Tucson, Ariz., returning to Flandreau in 2001. He became a resident of Golden Living Center on Oct. 27, 2005. He was a member of Egan United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Ruth; five sons, Jerome (Diane) of Egan, Danny (Viola) of Dayton, Ohio, Tim (Marlene) of Tea, David of Madison, and Dale (Pam) of Sturgis; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gordon; and three sisters, Josie, Opal and Esther. The Skroch Funeral Chapel of Flandreau is in charge of arrangements.
