Description	:	His legal name was spelled Orval R Snowberger or Orval Ray Snowberger. The continuous misspelling as Orville was understandable as that would have been the more common spelling. However, where the middle initial of "L" came from is a mystery but seems it would have been the mistake of the monument maker. An article in the Tipton, Indiana newspaper on July 17, 1914 reports the placement of the family monument at the Fairview Cemetery. It was made by a local craftsman, F. T. McKeown, of Scotch granite.
