Griffith, 81, of Cashmere and a former Leavenworth resident, died Saturday, March 26, 1994, in the Rideout Memorial Hospital in Yuba City, Calif., while visiting family. Mr. Griffith was born April 7, 1912, to George Louis and Rosa Mae (White) Griffith, at Sandpoint, Idaho. He moved with his family to Washington as a small child. Griffith, 81, of Cashmere and a former Leavenworth resident, died Saturday, March 26, 1994, in the Rideout Memorial Hospital in Yuba City, Calif., while visiting family. Mr. Griffith was born April 7, 1912, to George Louis and Rosa Mae (White) Griffith, at Sandpoint, Idaho. He moved with his family to Washington as a small child. He married Dora Lou Reed on June 17, 1939, at Yakima, where they made their first home. They moved to southwestern Oregon where Mr. Griffith worked as a logger near Tennant. They later moved to the Hood River Valley in Oregon and settled in Park Dale where they operated an orchard for many years. Mr. Griffith worked as a security guard for the S.D.&S. Lumber Mill at Bingen. He retired in 1977, and they spent their winters in Arizona. They moved to Leavenworth in 1985. Mrs. Griffith died on June 26, 1987. Mr. Griffith had made his home near Cashmere since that time. He attended the Cascade Bible Church in Leavenworth, and was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge in Klamath Falls, Ore. He is survived by two daughters, Marcia Flisram of Beaverton, Ore., and Donna Macky of Milwaukie, Ore.; three brothers, Delbert of Cashmere, Stanley of Yuba City, Calif., and Jack of Minden, Nev.; a sister, June Fernandes of Merced, Calif.; and two grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
