Description	:	Orvin A. Bergan of 302 Iowa Ave. died January 31 at his home. He was 59 years of age and a life-long resident of Winneshiek County and Decorah where he had been employed at Decorah Creamery for the past 22 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. at Decorah Lutheran Church with Pastor Alden H. Hovda officiating. Pallbearers were Carsten Hovden, Clair Knutson, Morris Bergan, Richard Fadness, Bennie Benson and Melvin Skaim. Mrs. Otto Ruen was organist and Russel Bakken was soloist. Mr. Bergan is survived by his wife, the former Doris Yarwood; two sons, Philip Bergan of Cresco and Robert Bergan of Decorah; a daughter, Mrs. Duane (Janice) Danielson, Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; a brother, Donald Bergan, Spencer, Ia. and a sister, Cora Borlaug, Lawler, Ia. Orvin A. Bergan was born November 10, 1917 in Madison Township, the son of Enos and Bertah Bergan. After graduation, he served with the U.S. Army overseas in World War II. He was married February 28, 1942 at the Decorah Lutheran parsonage. Mr. Bergan was a member of Decorah Lutheran Church and the V.F.W.
