Jr. was born June 2, 1933 in Auglaize Co., OH, to Orvin and Alma (Fox) Plaugher Sr. who preceded him in death. On March 13, 1954 he married Vera Gross Plaugher who survives in Waynesfield. Jr. was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War. He was a truck driver for 30 years for Schwerman's Trucking until they closed. Jr. was born June 2, 1933 in Auglaize Co., OH, to Orvin and Alma (Fox) Plaugher Sr. who preceded him in death. On March 13, 1954 he married Vera Gross Plaugher who survives in Waynesfield. Jr. then drove truck for La King Trucking Co. until he retired in 1993. He loved to fish, hunt and tinker on small motor parts. When he was younger he enjoyed racing go-carts. Survivors include 7 children; Darlene (John) Myers of Lima, OH, Kevin (Rebecca) Plaugher of Lafayette, OH, Gregory A. (Jacqueline) Plaugher of Lima, OH, Timothy L. Plaugher of Lima, OH, Les (Trish) Plaugher of Harrod, OH, Russell (Bethany) Plaugher of Waynesfield, OH and Angela (Patrick Mains) Plaugher of Lima, OH, 18 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, a brother, Harold Plaugher of Westminster, OH, 2 sisters; Zora Masters of Lima, OH and Wilma Jean Hartman of Westminster, OH. He was preceded in death by 5 siblings; Genevieve Regedanz, Patrova Swaney, Galen Graymire, Gerry Lowry and Bud Graymire. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at the CHILES-LAMAN FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Officiating the service will be Rev. Dave Burkhart. Burial will be in the Salem Westminster Cemetery following the service. Military rites will be performed by the U.S. Army and the VFW #1275. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the EASTSIDE CHAPEL. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Rita's Hospice. Condolences may be expressed at chiles-lamanfh.com.
