Description	:	Oscar was born in Gottenburg, Sweden, January 17, 1847. He died at his home near Geneva, Neb. May 13, 1925 age 78 years, 3 months and 26 days. He came to America at the age of twenty-one and made his home first near Chicago. He came to Nebraska in 1882 and lived in Butler county for twenty years. He came to this locality twenty-two years ago where he made his home till his death. Read More	Oscar was born in Gottenburg, Sweden, January 17, 1847. He died at his home near Geneva, Neb. May 13, 1925 age 78 years, 3 months and 26 days. He came to America at the age of twenty-one and made his home first near Chicago. He came to Nebraska in 1882 and lived in Butler county for twenty years. He came to this locality twenty-two years ago where he made his home till his death. He was united in marriage January 22 1880, to Eliza Jane Iddings of Fairfield, Illinois, to which union eight children were born. He was baptized at the age of fourteen in the Swedish Lutheran church. He united with the Methodist Episcopal church in young manhood and retained his membership in that body the remainder of his life. He was a conscientious Christian gentleman, upright and honest in all his ways. He is survived by his wife, six children, four sons and two daughters: Alfred Lorain of Hereford, Tex. Ernest of Sutton, Neb. Otto V. of Montrose Col. and Melvin I. of Geneva Neb. Mrs Mable Schlecty of Douglas, Wyo. and Miss Nellie of Kishorganj, India and eight grandchildren. The funeral service was conducted from the Methodist Episcopal church of Geneva, Sunday afternoon, May 17, at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. D. T. Morton. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery.
