Mrs. Everett Gronau was the organist. The congregation sang, "Rock of Ages" and the choir sang "I'm but a Stranger Here." Oscar Amus Moeller, son of John Moeller and his wife Marie Hollander was born on the 19th of April 1894 in Crawford County. He grew up on a farm east of Schleswig. After his marriage to Elsie Baker on January 28th, 1920, the couple moved to Schleswig. For a number of years, Oscar ran a taxi service and also operated the Standard Oil Station. After that he was the Schleswig Street and Water Commissioner for some 16 years. His wife Elsie died in 1960 after a lingering illness. Five years ago, Oscar had a stroke and was bed-fast since that time. He died on Memorial Day. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran congregation for over 40 years. He is survived by his two sons Orrin and Palmer, both of Schleswig. Three grandchildren Ross, Terri, and Scott. Two brothers, John D. Moeller of Schleswig and William of Kiron. His mother-in-law Henrietta Baker who helped care for him, and Barbara, wife of Palmer. He attained to 75 years, 1 month, and 11 days. The Pallbearers were John Jakso, Otto Keller, Herbert Rickert, Walter Petersen, Johannes Bottger, Arthur Hollander. Interment was in the Morgan Cemetery.
