Read More	Oscar, 86, died Wednesday, Nov. 26, 1997 in Sioux Falls, SD. He was born on Oct. 20, 1911 on a family farm southeast of Lennox, SD. He married Marie Molvik on Jun. 24, 1939, at Columbia Heights, MN. At that time he was 27 As serving as Lincoln County Sheriff and was the youngest sheriff in the state of South Dakota. He had become deputy sheriff in 1934 and then was elected sheriff for two terms. They continued to live in Canton until 1943 when he became the Mobil dealer in Lennox and started Skie Oil Company and continued in that business until 1966. Oscar built and operated the Truck Village Cafe and Service Station near I-29 and Canton exit and later sold all of his businesses. Oscar then worked for Monarch Sales for two years before starting Skie Specialty Company in 1969 and retired in December of 1994. Marie died Sep. 29, 1983 from cancer. Oscar married Doris Curtis on Mar. 17, 1984 and they lived in Lennox until Mar. of 1997 when they moved to the Waterford in Sioux Falls. Blessed for having shared his life are his wife, Doris; two sons: Duane of St. Paul, MN, Gary of Shoreview, MN; three daughters: Carol Dannen, Marliyn Buskohl and Nancy Hopp all of Sioux Falls.; one step-daughter, Carol Runyan, Minneapolis and one step-son, Jack Curtis of Lennox; 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Helmer, of Lennox. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Hilda; his wife, Marie; his brother, Marvin and is his wife, Grace; and his great-granddaughter, Kaie Marie Skie.
