Description	:	Oscar George Frink was born in Morristown, Rice, MN to George Washington Frink and Martha Ann Morrell on 22 March 1862. Oscar married Carrie L. Colfix, daughter of Elizabeth Stallard McKinley and Henry W. Colfix. After the death of William McKinley, Elizabeth remarried to Henry W. Colfix in Wis. Elizabeth and Henry came from Wis. to South Shore, Codington, SD about 1885. That is where Oscar met Carrie and married about 1891 (probably after his graduation from medical school). Colfix, daughter of Elizabeth Stallard McKinley and Henry W. Colfix. After the death of William McKinley, Elizabeth remarried to Henry W. Colfix in Wis. Elizabeth and Henry came from Wis. to South Shore, Codington, SD about 1885. That is where Oscar met Carrie and married about 1891 (probably after his graduation from medical school). Oscar attended Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL graduating in 1891 from medical school. The college was briefly affiliated with Lake Forest University and then University of Chicago. The 49th graduating class was Oscar's class. In the alumni book of 1913-1914 of Rush Medical College he was listed as practicing in South Shore, SD. In 1910 on the plat map of Codington Co, SD Oscar owned 160 acres in Section 9 of the Town of Germantown and Carrie owned 307.89 acres in the Town of Leola, Codington, SD. Oscar also owned 79.23 acres in the Town of Dexter. Frink & Colfix also owned two sections of 160 acres in the Town of Leola, Codington, SD in 1910 in Sections 8 & 9. Oscar was also listed as president of the Farmers State Bank there and also Frink & Colfix had a hardware and harness shop. Carrie died 27 Sept 1916 in South Shore aged 48 of inflammation of the lining of the heart due to a bacterial infection. Oscar married second on 28 Oct 1920 to widow Hansine K Jenson Nelson (1869-6 Nov 1934). Oscar died in South Shore, Codington, SD on 21 May 1924. His death was recorded in Codington Co records in Book 2 page 58 line 2431; certificate #91699 page 300. Cause of death was uremia (kidney failure). Oscar and Carrie had one daughter: Lila Martha Frink (7-31-1892-1-24-1978) who became a dentist and worked doing that in Illinois.
