Description	:	Oscar P. Dominici of Hanford, California passed away in Hanford. He was born in Lemoore, California to Italian immigrants, Ricardo and Penelope Dominici. Oscar was raised in the Paddock area of Hanford, attending the Rustic School until the eighth grade. He operated his own hay grinding business until entering the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, serving as an Airplane and Engine Mechanic. Oscar was raised in the Paddock area of Hanford, attending the Rustic School until the eighth grade. He operated his own hay grinding business until entering the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, serving as an Airplane and Engine Mechanic. He married Dorothy Ann Newkirk on April 11, 1945, and was honorably discharged on March 1, 1946, obtaining the rank of Corporal. Oscar and Dorothy recently celebrated sixty-one years of marriage. Oscar worked as a mechanic and salesman for several tractor companies in Hanford before purchasing the Ford Tractor dealership in Hanford. As owner of Dominici Ford Tractor Company, his honesty became a trade mark and the many customers he had over the years were a great joy to him. Oscar sold the dealership in 1985 and retired. He was an active member of Kings Country Club for fifteen years. He also was a member of the Hanford Elks Lodge #1259, and the Sons of Italy Lodge #1543 for fifty years. His love for life and humor made him well known in the communities of Kings County. He was preceded in death by his brother, Louie Dominici on January 24, 2003. He is survived by his wife Dorothy; his daughter, Diana Hill and her husband Steve; grandson, Ryan Hill and his wife Amy, and their daughter Avery; and sister, Clara Galletti, all of Hanford. Visitation will be held at People's Funeral Chapel in Hanford on Tueseday, January 30, 2007, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at People's Funeral Chapel, 501 N. Douty in Hanford, California on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Hanford District Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Donor's favorite charity.
