Description	:	Oscar Smith Brown, 70, a resident of Newton since 1936 and a high official in the Iowa Knights of Pythias Lodge, died at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Thelma; two sons; five granddaughters; and two sisters, Mrs. Rex (Velma) Dinsmore of Moline, IL and Mrs. Oscar (Irene) Maize of Lincoln, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. Robbins Brown, he was born Sept. 1, 1910 at Mendota, Mo., and was educated in Friendship Township, Mo. schools. He was married to Thelma V. Cooper Aug 18, 1936 in Newton.
