Gray On Wednesday morning, Oct. 9, 1918, at his home in this city occurred the death of Otis Elmer Gray, after a lingering illness, and at the age of 52 years, 5 months and 7 days. Deceased was born at Farmington, New Hampshire, on May 2, 1866, later coming to Iowa. In the year 1900 he came to Guttenberg to reside, where he lived until his death, and was also employed at the Glover Overall Factory here for 10 years. On May 8, 1902, he was married at Dubuque to Miss Bertha P. Hagensick, of Guttenberg. Deceased was a kind and loving husband, father, son, brother, neighbor and friend, always ready with heart and hand to do kind acts for others. His untimely death is deeply mourned by his wife, one son, Harold Edwin, two daughters, Nelda Marie and Adelaide Ohamberling, all at home; two brothers, Dr. George Gray to the U.S. Army, and Herbert Gray, of Boston, Mass., one sister, Miss Adelaide Gray, and his aged mother, both of Farmington, New Hampshire. Funeral services will be held at his late home in this city on Saturday afternoon at one o'clock, Rev. O. H. Mead officiating. The M. W. A. Order, of which he was a faithful member,will also officiate at the funeral. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery.
