Son of Thomas Elvy Harrison Brown and Nancy Helen Goldman OBITUARY THE CHARITON LEADER Chariton, Iowa Tuesday, January 18, 1972 BROWN Otis Gilmore Brown was born in Warren County, Iowa, on June 22, 1894 and passed away Dec. 26, 1971 at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital at the age of 77 years. Otis was the son of Thomas E. H. Brown and Nancy Helen Goldman Brown. He was the youngest of a family of 10 children. All have preceded him in death with the exception of two sisters: Pearl E. Snuggs of Chariton, with whom he has made his home the past 8 years; and Beulah Foxal of Hamburg. On May 30, 1936, he was united in marriage to Vida Neals of Davenport. She passed away in September, 1956. Most of their married life was spent in Chicago, where he worked as a machinist until his retirement. Besides his two sisters, he is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L. W. Mendenhall at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 1971 at the Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was in the Norwood Cemetery. Obituary courtesy of Charles M. Wright
