OTTA DIERBERGER Milford - Otta Dieberger, 91, of Milford, Nebraska, formerly of North Loup, Nebraska, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at Crestview Care Center in Milford. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Ord Memorial Cahpel with the Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Madison Square Cemetery west of Taylor, Nebraska. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice. Mrs. Dierberger was born January 22, 1910, at Sargent, Nebraska to William and Dottie (Howland) Mangan. She was raised at Sargent and attended rural Custer County schools. She worked on her parents farm and later worked at the hotel in Burwell, Nebraska as a waitress. She also worked 22 years at the North Loup Cafe washing dishes. She married Orval Dierberger on January 30, 1940, in Taylor. They farmed near Taylor for several year and then moved to a farm in Custer County northwest of Sargent. In 1952, they moved to a farm near North Loup and in 1966, they retired and moved into North Loup. Mr. Dierberger died February 13, 1978. She continued to live in North Loup until moving to Sunderman Nursing Home in Seward in 1998, and for the past year had lived at Crestview Care Home in Milford. She had been a member of the North Loup American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include four sons, Donald of Garland, Nebraska; Glen of Waverly, Nebraska; Virgil of St. Paul, Nebraska; and Chester of North Loup, Nebraska; two daughters, Yvonne Clark of Garland, Nebraska; and Dolores Rood of Mason City, Nebraska; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one sister, Hazel Dimmit of Nyssa, Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband, and infant daughter, two brothers and one sister.
