Description	:	Alton Democrat; Aprul 17, 1980 Miss Ottilia A. Even, age 87, of Alton, passed away Tuesday, April 15, at the Orange City Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Ottilia was born March 26, 1893 at Humboldt, South Dakota, the daughter of Mike Even and Mary Gillen Even. She moved to the Alton area with her family in the early 1900’s. Ottilia was born March 26, 1893 at Humboldt, South Dakota, the daughter of Mike Even and Mary Gillen Even. She moved to the Alton area with her family in the early 1900’s. For many years she was a cashier at the Alton Savings Bank, retiring in the early 1950’s. “Tillie” was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton and its Rosary Society. Survivors include one brother, Joseph T. “Matty, Sr., of Alton and two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Georgia) Sudteigte and Mrs. Cliff (Francis) Meylor, both of Le Mars; nieces and nephews. Miss Even was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Ed and one sister Ann. The Funeral Mass was held Thursday, April 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Interment followed in the parish cemetery.
