A native of Campbellsburg, Ind., Mr. Trinkle was a son of the late Jonathan and Mary Jane Hall Trinkle and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1976. Read More	Johnson City Press, Dec. 22, 1978-Otto Alva Trinkle, 89, Appalachian Christian Village, died at 9:05 a.m. Thursday in Johnson City Memorial Hospital following a short illness. A native of Campbellsburg, Ind., Mr. Trinkle was a son of the late Jonathan and Mary Jane Hall Trinkle and had been a resident of Johnson City since 1976. A graduate of Valparaiso University, he was a retired Christian Church minister. A month his pastorates was one of 25 years at Englewood Christian Church in Indianapolis. His last pastorate was for 10 years at East Superior Christian Church in Alma, Mich. He retired and resided in Vestaburg, Mich. before moving to Johnson City. Mr. Trinkle had served as field representative for Minnesota Bible College; was a member of the first board of trustees at Cincinnati Bible Seminary; was the last living founder of the North American Christian Convention; and in Johnson City, was a member of the First Christian Church and its Loyal Men's Bible Class. Survivors include is wife, Mrs. Leo Minnie Foutch Trinkle; one daughter, Harriet Trinkle, Indianapolis; two sons, Morris Trinkle, Silver City, N.M. and Charles Trinkle, Johnson City; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
