Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and for one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church. Otto Beardemphl was born April 13, 1916, to Amzi and Edith (Bymers) Beardemphl at Ashton. He attended country school. He married Mildred Siebrecht on July 17, 1940, at Mellette. They ranched in the Leola area for a few years before returning to the Ashton area where he farmed the rest of his life. He was a member of the Ashton United Methodist Church and a past member of the Northwestern School Board, Ashton City Council, Jefferson Township Board and Ashton Farm Elevators Board. He enjoyed his livestock and playing cards. Survivors include his wife of Ashton; one son, William (Charlyn) Beardemphl of Ashton; two brothers, Floyd Beardemphl and Richard Beardemphl, both of Ashton; two sisters, Carolyn Stover of Redfield and Alice Groft of Ashton; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one infant son. Casketbearers will be Alonzo Stover, Chuck Hahler, Jim Groft, John Groft, Wilbur Masat and Richard Beardemphl Jr. Obituary provided by Curt Hofemann #47834043
