Pall-bearers were Ralph Bentzinger, John Buss, William Aden, John Aden, Ben Parde, and Clarence Aden. Otto August Herman Heussmann, son of Wm. Heussmann and his wife, Hulda, nee Rathe, was born April 7, 1913 near Sterling, Nebr. On April 13, 1913 he was received into the fellowship of the Triune God by means of holy baptism. After a thorough instruction in the fundamental doctrines of God's word he made a confession of his faith on April 10, 1927 and was received as a member of the Lutheran church. On Nov. 30, 1939, Mr. Heussmann was united in marriage with Miss Margaret Harbert, and this union was blessed with two children, David William, age five, and Sandra Shirlie, age one. Sadness came into this home far sooner than is usual, as about four years ago Mr. Heussmann's health began to fail. He had a sunny disposition and by nature was uncomplaining, so that none but those nearest him realized the seriousness of his condition. All that medical skill could offer was done for him, and he had gone to Rochester, Minn., shortly before his death, hoping that there he could find help. These things were all to no avail, and about 5:50 last Tuesday evening, Nov. 26, 1946, Almighty God summoned him from this vale of tears. His age was only thirty-three, seven months and thirteen days. He lived a splendid christian life, and his kindness to his family and friends will leave in deep sorrow all those who knew him. Besides his wife and children he is survived by his parents of this place, two brothers, Walter of Brush, Colo., and Norman of Sterling, also many other relatives. To them goes the deepest sympathy of a host of friends, in the hour of grief which has come to them.
