WW II Veteran - US Army - 5-1-1942/11-10-1945 He moved with his family in 1923 to Dannebrog. He attended school in Nysted. He then worked on a dairy farm in California. He served in Europe for most of his active duty while in the army. He was discharged on Nov. 10, 1945. The couple lived in Dannebrog, where he and his brother worked in the land-leveling business. After his brother's death, he continued to level land with Russel Lemburg. He retired in 1978. He enjoyed traveling, camping and fishing. He also liked country music festivals. He was a member of St. Peder's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nysted and the Nebraska Cushman Motor Scooter Club. He was a past member of the Dannebrog Fire Department. Survived by his wife of Dannebrog, two nephews, Randy Faaborg of Cotesfied and Lee Faaborg and his wife Lisa of Grand Island: and a niece, Marilyn (Mrs. Russell) Williams of Grand Island. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Carl.
