McCloud, 72, of Sitka, on Monticello RR 1, died at 10:30 p.m. Thursday at the White County Memorial Hospital. He had been in the hospital since Monday. Born March 8, 1888, in White county, he was the son of George B. and Cordelia (Smith) McCloud. He was married to Clara Rex Sept. 27, 1910. A former White county highway department employee, he retired after 23 years with the organization. He was a member of the Christian church at Buffalo, Ind. Surviving is his wife, Clara; two daughters, Mrs. Letha Swartz and Mrs. Opal Alma, both of Monticello; one son, Rowland McCloud, of Monticello; one brother, Burles McCloud, Reynolds; one sister, Mrs. Grace Campbell, Logansport, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Miller funeral home at 2 p.m. Sunday with the Revs. Larry Richmond and James Allison officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 a.m. Saturday.
