Miller, Nevada business man and quartermaster of Nevada Post No 2209, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Following brief services at the home on K avenue at 1:30, the funeral was held at Memorial Lutheran church of which the deceased was an active member. Memorial church was filled to its capacity, with many unable to gain admittance. Friends and relatives from northern Iowa and other points joined with local people in paying their final earthly tribute of respect to the memory of their departed relative and friend. The sermon was by his pastor Dr. J. O. Simon, while there was a song by a male quartette consisting of Everett and Eldon Kahl, Everette Fry and Clyde Hodges and a solo "Abide With Me," by Everett Kahl. Tod Christiansen was at the organ. The casket was literally banked with flowers which reached from one side of the church to the other and these furnished a glowing testimonial of the esteem in which Mr. Miller was held among relatives, friends and business associates. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Carney, Mrs. Warren and Mrs. Ebert. Pallbearers were selected from among the brothers in the Masonic lodge and were Pete Mathison, J. C. Hathaway, M. R. Biddison, Carl Stone, Earle Shaw and H. G. Kruwell. A colorguard and firing squad from among the patriotic organizations of which he was a member preceded the body to the cemetery ant there was a salute fired over the grave, followed by "taps" as a conclusion to the burial ceremonies. Otto H. Miller, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Miller, was born March 11, 1895 in Clarksville, Iowa, where he attended school grew to young manhood. He later attended school at Gates Business college at Waterloo, and then was employed at Dixon, Ill., until he enlisted at Camp Dodge, Iowa, Dec. 12, 1917. He served overseas 15 months and was given honorable recognition of his services. He returned to Clarksville after the war and entered business there. He was married August 18, 1924 in Cedar Falls to Miss Myrtle Mayland. To this union was born one son, Don. They made their home in Clarksville until 1930 when they moved to Nevada, and established a business here. Mr. Miller was active member of the following organizations: Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, Masonic Order, Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Memorial Lutheran church of Nevada where he served as a member of the church council. He is survived by his widow Myrtle, and one son Don, three sisters Mrs. Lena Sinram, Mrs. Melusine Klunder and Mrs. Minnie Priepke, all of Clarksville, and five brothers Fred, August and Henry of Clarksville and William and Ernest of Waverly, Iowa.
