Read More	****************************************** Otto H. Rasmussen, the son of Rasmus and Ane Lollike Rasmussen, was born near Marquette, Nebraska on January 3, 1901. His death occurred at Grand Island, Nebraska on October 19, 1981 at the age of 80 years, 9 months and 16 days. He had spent his entire lifetime in the Marquette vicinity, where he received his education in the schools there. He was engaged in farming most of his lifetime. At an early age, he was baptized and later confirmed in the Lutheran Faith in St. John's Lutheran Church in Kronborg. He remained a faithful member of that congregation. On August 24, 1927 he was united in marriage to Clara Andersen at the church in Kronborg. Two children were born to them. They farmed in the vicinity of Marquette and Kronborg until their retirement in 1962 when they moved to their present home in Marquette. One daughter Mrs. Eva Mae Schreuers, his parents, two brothers, Fred and Walter Rasmussen and two sisters, Anna Rasmussen and Clara Hermansen had preceded him in death. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Clara; one son, Edgar Rasmussen of Marquette; one brother, Harold Rasmussen of Marquette; one sister, Mrs. Johanna Stauning of Lincoln, Nebraska; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many close friends.
