Description	:	Otto Dolezal Prominent San Pierre Resident, Dies The San Pierre community this week mourned the death of its most progressive and highly esteemed resident, Mr. Otto M. Dolezal, 76. Mr. Dolezal passed away Sunday morning at 10:50 o'clock in Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, where he had been taken by McCormick ambulance, Saturday night after suffering a heart seizure. Mr. Dolezal was president of the San Pierre State Bank and president of the Dolezal Shopping Center. He spent his entire lifetime working for the betterment of his community. Born in Chicago on July 28, 1889, Mr. Dolezal came to San Pierre as a young man with his parents. On Nov. 11, 1915 at Knox, Ind., he married the former Elizabeth Marie Luken, who survives with one son, Duane D. Dolezal, of Valparaiso, and two grandsons, Brad and Jay, Valparaiso. Other survivors are a brother, Henry Dolezal, of Cicero, Ill., a half-brother, Robert J. Dolezal of Carroll, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Bessie Stalbaum, Mrs. Rose Koehler and Miss Helen Dolezal and a step-sister, Mrs. Polly Tannehill, all of San Pierre. Friends called at the McCormick Funeral Home, North Judson until noon Tuesday when the body was taken to St. Luke's United Church of Christ in San Pierre. Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the church with Rev. Walter Luedtke, Pastor, officiating. Burial was in the San Pierre cemetery. Mr. Dolezal was a member of the church, the San Pierre Lions Club, the North Judson Masonic Lodge 438, the Valley of South Bend Consistory F & AM, the Orak Shrine, Hammond, Ind., and the Rensselaer Chapter at that city, and the Valparaiso Council, York Rites, Masonry. Memorial services were held at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral chapel with the North Judson Masonic Lodge 438 in charge.
