Mr. Rutti was a farmer and sold seed and hail insurance before he retired. He was an Army veteran of World War I. He was born Feb. 16, 1896, in Marshall County, the son of Jacob and Emily Nueller Rutti. Mr. Rutti was a member of First Baptist Church, Marysville Lodge No. 91, AF&AM, S.M.N.& R. Post No. 163 of the American Legion and Marshall County Barracks No. 3183 of Veterans of World War I of U.S.A. Inc. all at Marysville. He was married to Laura DeWolf Dec. 25, 1919, at Beatrice, Neb. She preceded him in death. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Delores Wassenberg, Marysville; two sons, Milan Rutti, Marysville, and Harold Rutti, Augusta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Marysville. Burial will be in Marysville Cemetery. Mr. Rutti will lie in state from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. today at Kinsley Mortuary in Marysville and an hour before service time at the church. Contributions may be made to the Otto Rutti Memorial Fund yet to be designated by the relatives and sent in care of the mortuary.
