Description	:	OUTERBRDIGE LUTHER "EARL" PRY, 85, a well known retired farmer of Needwood Farm, 1118 Lees Lane, Knoxville, where he had resided for 70 years, died Saturday, Dec. 28, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Helen Elizabeth Wolfre Pry to whom he was married for 61 years. She died Nov. 22, 1984. Born in Burkittsville, on the Horsey Distillery Farm, Jan. 19, 1900, he was a son of the late Luther Calvin and Etta Sarah Arnold Pry. Born in Burkittsville, on the Horsey Distillery Farm, Jan. 19, 1900, he was a son of the late Luther Calvin and Etta Sarah Arnold Pry. Mr. Pry's firs love was his church, where he was a devoted member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Burkittsville. He had served several terms as president of the church council, was active in the Sunday school, where he had served as treasurer for 29 years, and also was a member of the building committee. In his early years he was a member of the Brunswick and Middletown community bands where he played the trombone and violin. He was an avid sportsman and was a pitcher for the old Tri-County League and the MacAbees Team in Middletown. He was a life-long famrer and also had a special love for Jersey dairy cattle. He is survived by two sons, Richard Lee Pry, Burkittsville; and David Outerbridge Pry, Knoxville; daughter, Catherine Arbutus Hughes, Kissimmee, Fl.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the last of his immediate family. Services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Burkettsville; interment was in Pleasant View Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Burkittsville.
