Description	:	The funeral for Ovedia Stoe, 85, of the Penn area was held Saturday at the Gilbertson Funeral Home chapel in Devils Lake. Interment was in the Big Coulee Cemetery, rural Churchs Ferry. She died July 20, 1993 at the Friendship Healthcare Center in McVille. Pallbearers were Darrel Bye, Stuart Gessner, Leo Gessner, Sid Bingaman & Raymond Kaeding. Ovedia Stoe was born Oct. 1, 1907 near Maddock to Ole & Inga Clifton Tron. She was reared & educated in the Maddock area. She married Palmer Stoe Nov. 5, 1925 in Minnewaukan. They established their home on his farm near Penn. They retired from farming in 1960 but continued to make their home on the farm until moving into Devils Lake in 1985. He died May 18, 1988. In 1992 she moved to the Friendship Healthcare Center in McVille where she lived until the time of her death. Survivors include 2 daughters & sons-in-law, Arlene & Orville Skar of Mayville & Joyce & David Barstad of Las Vegas, Nev.; 4 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; & 2 brothers, Glenn Tron of Klamath Falls, Ore. & Ree Tron of McVille. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 sisters, Erma Steger & Vivian Johnson; & 2 brothers, Lloyd & Philip Tron.
