Mr. Dillard was born, June 6, 1947, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Owen and Natalie Dillard. Mr. Dillard attended Turner Ashby High School, where he graduated in 1968. At T.A., he was a member of the FBLA and DECA club. He was a member of Mabel Memorial Chapter and President of the Youth Fellowship Club. "Joker" Dillard Jr., 66, of Harrisonburg, passed away July 28, 2013. Mr. Dillard was born, June 6, 1947, in Rockingham County and was the son of the late Owen and Natalie Dillard. Mr. Dillard attended Turner Ashby High School, where he graduated in 1968. At T.A., he was a member of the FBLA and DECA club. He was a member of Mabel Memorial Chapter and President of the Youth Fellowship Club. After high school, he served in the Army at Fort Bragg, N.C., with the Echo Company. After returning from the Army, he worked for Dunham Bush as a line coordinator and heat seal operator for 15 years. After he left Dunham Bush, he spent 30 years within convenient store operations, and worked for Duff Short Stop as an assistant manager for 14 years. He attended Blue Ridge Community College, where he studied Electric Blue Print Reading. He received a scholarship from New York Art College for his artwork. Mr. Dillard was preceded in death by one brother and sister. A private, graveside service will be held at Mabel Memorial church Cemetery in Harrisonburg at a later date. DNR, Monday, July 29, 2013
