Mrs. Poston was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Roosevelt "Buck" and Getha Poston Powell. She was formerly employed by Electro-Motive and by Marsh Plywood. She was also a homemaker. She attended Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church and was an avid fisherman. She is survived by 2 daughters; Patsy P. McKenzie (Ned Nettles) and Lelia P. McKnight, both of Johnsonville; 2 sons; Gene A. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ludie Hubert Poston, by her son, Ray Poston and by 2 sisters. Graveside services will be at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 30, 2011 in the Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery in Hyman, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the church from 2-3:00 P.M. Sunday before the service.
