Description	:	Ozro (Jim) L Richeson, 67, a lifelong resident of this community passed away early Wednesday morning, July 7, at his home here. He had been in declining health for the past two years. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, July 9th from the Wensel-Perrin Funeral Home with Rev L R Meinecke, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens near Marshalltown. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens near Marshalltown. Harland G Pfantz Post No 122 of the American Legion conducted graveside rites. Mr Richeson was born February 28, 1898, four miles south of State Center, the son of George and Belle Booth Richeson. He received his education in the Rhodes Public Schools. He was united in marriage to Elmyra Wengert at Marshalltown January 5, 1922 and they made their home south of State Center until moving to town in 1931 where he operated a tank service truck for the Farm Service and also drove a State Center school bus route for over 30 years. He retired in 1963. Mr Richeson was a World War I veteran, enlisting May 28, 1918 at Ft Logan, Colorado. He served with the Medical Department. He was honorably discharged on September 1, 1919 at Hot Springs, Arkansas. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Daryl of Williams, Iowa and Duane of Cedar Rapids; a foster son, James Ramer of San Antonio, Texas; one brother, D F Richeson of State Center; one sister, Mrs Dorothy Herrings of Chester, PA; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers. July 15, 1965 State Center Enterprise.
