Read More	* IN LOVING MEMORY OF * Pamela D. (Pritchard) Beckett was born on Friday; March 2, 1945 in Boone; Boone County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Verne and Sarah (Blanchard) Pritchard. Pam graduated from Boone High School and attended Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines; Polk County, Iowa. She married Brad Beckett on Saturday; November 11, 1961 in Boone, Iowa. She graduated from Bernel's Cosmetology School in Ames, Story County, Iowa. She owned and operated the Beauty Nook in Boone, Iowa for several years. For 20 years she was employed at Bourne's Lab in Ames, Iowa and worked as a supervisor. She and her husband farmed north of Boone, Iowa on their Century farm. They bred, raised and showed horses. She was a member of First Baptist Church and several area saddle clubs. She enjoyed playing bingo. Pamela D. (Pritchard) Beckett, age 58, passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2003 at the Boone County Hospital of complications from a stroke. Those left to mourn her passing are: Her husband: Brad. Her two sons: Tad Beckett and Blake (Rachel) Beckett; all of Boone, Iowa. Her one brother: Tom (Virginia) Pritchard of Boone, Iowa and her one sister: Beverly (Pritchard) Van Fossen of Ames, Iowa, and her two grandchildren: Jaibrenna and Julianne Beckett; also several nieces and nephews. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents, one son and one sister. May they rest in peace. Funeral services were Wednesday; May 14, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Boone, Iowa with the Reverend Dr. Norman Haupt officiating. Interment was in the Bass Point Cemetery. Memorials in Pamela's honor may be directed to the First Baptist Church or the Ogden Manor Aviary Fund. For condolences, please visit the funeral home's website.
