The whereabouts of their descendants is not known by our group of researchers. Information comes from O'Dell, the 1850 Cocke County census, and the Cocke County deed executed by George McNabb under date of December 11, 1865. On December 11, 1865 George McNabb sells his tract of land in Civil District 11 on the southwest bank of the French Broad River, estimated to be 305 acres, to Emeline Allen (nee McNabb); Parthenia McNabb and Mary Alice McNabb, two minor children of "my son Jacob McNabb, dec'd," and William McNabb, Moranda McNabb, Leah McNabb, and Rachael McNabb - "all of which are my children and grandchildren. . . . for the love and affection I have. . . the means to purchase said lands given my wife Parthenia McNabb, formerly Parthenia Faubion by her father John Faubion by way of advancement in the distribution of the estate among his children; and for this reason I convey the estate descended to them through their mother from John Faubion. . ." The names are again listed, as above, except that the name Hannah is listed in the stead of Rachael, which gives evidence that her name was Rachael Hannah, called Hannah. In this document George McNabb reserves the proceeds from the land to support himself and family, and the right to occupy and cultivate same for support and maintance during "our natural life." This deed was witnessed by W. N. McNabb and William McSween and filed on the same day it was executed, and recorded in Deed Book 17, page 217. From this document it would appear that George McNabb may have remarried and wanted to assure Perthenia's children their proper share of their mother's estate. (We would be interested to know if this is the same George McNabb who married Elizabeth Allen, widow of George Easterly who "took in" the children of Jacob, Moses and Ruth Faubion - after their death. -ed) NOTE: Rachel's name was not Hannah, Hannah was Jacob McNabb's wife EIGHT CHILDREN. REMAINED IN TN. Ref: Over the Misty Blue Hills by Ruth Webb O'Dell, pg 116 listed as Barthema McNabb deeds in old book 17. The first is from George McNabb to his children and grandchildren. I, Geo. McNabb ... convey to Emeline Allen formerly Emeline McNabb & Parthenia McNabb and Mary Alice McNabb two minor children of my son Jacob McNabb dec'd and William McNabb, Maranda McNabb, Leah McNabb and Rachel all of which are my children and grandchildren ... district #11 and lying on the south west bank of French Broad River ... originally conveyed to me by two separate deeds the 1st from A. McMahan ... dated 08/26/1853 and the other from P. M. Bewley ... dated 02/25/1858 ... adjoins the lands of John Stephens ... lands of David B.Stokely ... lands of the Wiley's and D. D. Brooks' heirs known as the Lotspeich land ... given to my wife Parthena McNabb formerly Parthenia Faubion by her father John Faubion by way of distribution of the estate amongst his said children ... to the said Parthena McNabb, Mary Alice McNabb, Emeline Allen, Wm. McNabb, Maranda McNabb, Leah McNabb, & Hannah McNabb ... to the said Parthena McNabb, Mary Alice McNabb as one of my children (they being the children of my son Jacob McNabb) and Emeline Allen, William McNabb, Maranda McNabb, Leah McNabb, and Harriet McNabb ... 12/11/1865 ...
