Mrs. Hopper was born December 25, 1861, in Fulton county Ill., and was married to Mr. Hopper on Christmas day , 1879, at Bernadotte, Ill. After their marriage, they came to Nodaway county, settling on a farm near Elmo where they resided until moving to Maryville thirty-four years ago. Besides the husband, survivors include five children: H.L. Hopper of Hot Springs, S.D.; Mrs. E. E. Johnson of Atlantic, Ia., Mrs. V. C. Smith of Shenandoah, and Mrs. Floyd Bagley and Mrs. E. O. James of Elmo, several grandchildren and one brother, J. D. Joy, Pagosa Springs, Colo. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Buchanan Methodist church by Rev. S. A. Bennett of Maysville, formerly of Maryville. Burial will be at Braddyville. The body will be at the home from 2 until 5 o'clock tomorrow and will lie in state at the church from 11 o'clock Saturday until the funeral hour.
