Description	:	Rites held for Pat McGillivray Pat McGillivray, age 53 of Flaxton, died Wednesday, May 18, 1988 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Minot. Her funeral was held Saturday, May 21, at 2 p.m. at the Flaxton Memorial Hall of Flaxton. Burial followed in the Bowbells Cemetery. Officiating for the service was Rev. Alan Miller of the Bowbells United Methodist Church. Pianist for the service was Ronnie Nelson and Anita Arnold was the vocalist. She was born on August 12, 1934 at rural Bowbells, a daughter of Floyd and Irene (Luckman) Chrest, Sr. She was raised in that area and graduated from Bowbells High School in 1952. She was married to Gerald "Jerry" McGillivray at Bowbells on June 20, 1953 and they lived at Bowbells until moving to rural Flaxton in 1958. She became the Postmaster of the Flaxton Post Office in 1964 and they moved into Flaxton in 1965 where they have since resided. She was active in many local charities as well as local and national postal organizations. She also had served on the Flaxton City Council. She is survived by her husband, Gerald "Jerry"; sons, Gerald "Mack" and his wife, Heidi, of Trenton, and Shannon of Flaxton; grandchildren, Meghan and Ryan McGillivray of Trenton; mother, Irene Chrest of Bowbells.
