The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 26th, at St. Malachy's Catholic Church, located at 405 Gerald Street in Madrid. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27th, at the church, with burial following at Mt. Hope Cemetery, south of Madrid. Pat was born May 4, 1951 in Carroll, Iowa to Robert and Marcella (Miller) Moore of Odebolt, Iowa. She graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1969 and married her soul mate and former pen pal from the Navy, Michael Anderson on March 13, 1971. She retired in 2014 from the Ames K-Mart store after 38 years service. Her family was her proudest achievement. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She was the bond that tied together two extended families. She is also remembered as a mother-figure to all she crossed paths with. She was a lifelong sports fan and avid follower of the Cyclones, Vikings, Cubs and Wild. She is survived by: Husband Mike, four children: Crysta (Brian) Peers of Gilbertsville, Pa; Shera (Matt) Mataya of Madrid, Ia; Megan (Chad) Ray of Overland Park, Ks; Daniel (Ronda) Anderson of Hazel Green, Al.; 11 grandchildren – Mitchell, Nolan, Tyler, Trevor, Ella, Avinn, Cason, Trent, Kya, Michael and Johnathan; Mother, Marcie of Sioux City; Sister Margaret (Dave) Mitchell of Omaha, Brother Gary Moore of Sioux City, Sister Kristi (Eugene) Dather of Sgt. Bluff; and an extended family of in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Moore and granddaughter, Mia Catherine Ray. In lieu of flowers, loved ones may make a donation to the charity of their choice in her name.
