She was a 1959 graduate of Lake City High School and formerly employed with Wentworth Manufacturing Company in the Clerical Department. She was a devoted member of High Hill Free Will Baptist Church, where she served as former church Secretary and Treasurer, member of the ladies auxiliary, and member of the Cemetery Committee.
