Pat was born on August 24, 1952, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of James Arthur and Ruth Ann Kent Stukey. Pat grew up in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School in 1970. Read More	Patricia Ann "Pat" Stukey (August 24, 1952 - May 26, 2013) Patricia Ann "Pat" Stukey, 60, Waverly, died at her home on May 26, 2013. Pat was born on August 24, 1952, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of James Arthur and Ruth Ann Kent Stukey. Pat grew up in Waverly and graduated from Waverly High School in 1970. After graduation, she went to the Clark School of Business in Topeka. She then received an associate in science degree in medical technology from Coffeyville Junior College. She was a CMA and had also worked as an E.M.T., lab courier, lab technician, paraprofessional, and phlebotomist. She was employed as a phlebotomist by St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. Pat was a member of the Prairie View United Methodist Church, the Hull-Cromwell Post #119 American Legion Auxiliary, of which she was president, and was involved in the A.W.A.N.A. (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) program in Waverly. She had been a member of Waverly Baptist Church and other clubs in the community in previous years. Pat was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, Kent A. Stukey and his wife Bev, of Waverly, her sister, Carol Meneley and her husband Don, of Topeka, several nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. As to her wishes, Pat was cremated. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, May 30, 2013, 10:30 a.m., at the Prairie View United Methodist Church, south of Waverly, Kansas. Contributions may be made to A.W.A.N.A., and sent in care of Jones Funeral Home, P.O. Box 277, Burlington, KS 66839. Inurnment will be at a later date in Waverly Cemetery.
