Born March 17, 1930 in Dodgeville, she was the daughter of John and Minnie Junker Sutcliffe. On April 12, 1947, she married Henry Paul Wenke in Fort Madison. He died August 9, 2001. Mrs. Wenke was a homemaker. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed hummingbords, cats, music, gardening, and playing organ, keyboard and piano. She also enjoyed making latchhook rugs and puzzles. Survivot=rs include two sons, Rick Wenke of Fort Masdison, and Russ Wenke of Argyle; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister. Friends may call from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. today at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, where family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The graveside memorial service for Mrs. Wenke and her husband will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in Oakland Cemetery, with the Rev. David Wilkening officiating. A memorial fund has been established.
