Description	:	January 1, 1939 ~ May 1, 2015 Patricia E. Wood passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, May 1, 2015, after a three year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat was born January 1, 1939, in Brewster, WA to Helen Rector and Gordon Conley, both of Electric City, WA. As an only child, Pat grew up and attended school in Grand Coulee, WA, graduating in 1956. Read More	January 1, 1939 ~ May 1, 2015 Patricia E. Wood passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, May 1, 2015, after a three year courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Pat was born January 1, 1939, in Brewster, WA to Helen Rector and Gordon Conley, both of Electric City, WA. As an only child, Pat grew up and attended school in Grand Coulee, WA, graduating in 1956. Soon after, she moved to Spokane, WA, where she met and married her husband, Gerry Wood. The couple moved back to Electric City, where they had four children. In 1967, the family moved to Wenatchee, WA. Pat worked for the Department of Transportation for 25 years, and was an active member of the American Legion Post 10, Auxiliary for 22 years, and a member of the elite group 8/40 for 13 years. She was active in bowling for many years and even tried her hand in stock car racing a few times in Powder Puff racing, mainly supporting her husband, who drove regularly and then her daughter and son who took up the sport later in life. She also was a volunteer with the YWCA for many years. Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gerry; and her youngest son, Garry. She is survived by her daughters, Jo Walker-McDonald and husband, Tom McDonald, Lori Gill and husband, John Gill, all of Malaga, WA; her son, Michael Wood of Wenatchee; six grandchildren, Jesse, Kolby, Kristin, Kraig, Timothy and Jacob; six great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-love, Jenni Vail. The family would like to especially thank her Hospice nurses, Adrian and Nichole, for their loving support these past few weeks. A Celebration of Life will be held at The American Legion Post 10 in Wenatchee at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015, following a Graveside Service held for family and close friends at Evergreen Memorial Park. Services provided by Jones & Jones~Betts Funeral Home, Wenatchee.
