Patricia was a teacher with the public schools for 14 years. Then was a teacher for Kirkwood Community College at the Men’s Reformatory in Anamosa, Iowa. Patricia was an educator for 27 years. She was co-author of the periodical Grave News. Patricia was a member of SAPIC (State association for the preservation of Iowa Cemeteries) and many historical societies mostly involving genealogy. Patricia is survived by her husband, Morris Hugh Shaw Sr. of Birmingham, Iowa; a grandson, Jonathan Shaw of Chicago, Illinois; a granddaughter, Jennifer (Paul) Garcia of Parker, Colorado; a brother, Max (Linda) Jones of Blakesburg, Iowa; and great-grandchildren, Evan and Ariana of Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Dana Scott Shaw and Morris Hugh Shaw Jr.
