She was born on April 22, 1926 in Maywood, IL to the late Harry H. & Marvel M. (Friday) Bender. Patricia married Robert John Hoch Sr. on April 26, 1947 and he survives. She was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, past president of the Rosary Alter Society, Eastern Deaney, Twig II at the Fairfield Medical Center, and she volunteered in the cafeterias at St. Mary School and Fisher Catholic High School for over 20 years. Patricia is survived by her husband Robert J. Hoch Sr; sisters: Joan (Mike) Wollis, June Nissen, Collette Zuidema, Geraldine (Bob) Pratl all of Chicago, Illinois area, Beryl Ekstrom of Barrington, NH, brother in law Bob Averill of Chicago, Illinois area. children: son: Robert J. Hoch Jr. wife Beth, of Lancaster, grandson Johnathan & girl friend Brittany Dennison, son: Joseph G. Hoch wife Laura, of Lancaster granddaughter Casie Anne Stanton, husband Scott of Canal Winchester, great granddaughters Taylor Catherine & Mallory Hope, granddaughter Corie Marie Hoch of Play Vista, CA & boy friend Anthony Locke son: Gregory S. Hoch, wife Cathy, of Arlington, TX, grandsons Nathan & Adam of Arlington, granddaughters Heather of Philadelphia, PA, Katy, of Houston, TX son: Dwight B. Hoch of Lancaster, Special friends Holly Acton, Nancy Mansell, June Morgan, Betsy Kirkpatrick, Jay Touvell, Toni Blanchard, Jane Steinmetz, and their families, Msqr. John Wolf and Rev. William DeVille, all of the special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Mark Hoch, brother Bill Stark, and sisters Jean Ramer, Gloriana Averill, Irene Carpenter. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:00am Saturday April 5, 2008 at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Father Donald Franks and Rev. William DeVille as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday April 4, 2008 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Sheridan Funeral Home with a vigil service at 7:30pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, A.L.S. or FairHoPe Hospice. Chapel Service Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
