Description	:	Paddy Bauman Patricia Jean "Paddy" Bauman, 88, of Ottumwa, died at 11:15 p.m. June 7, 2018 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center. She was born February 27, 1930 in Ottumwa to Earl E. and Claudine King Christy. She married Robert A. Bauman on January 16, 1949 and he preceded her in death on December 7, 2015. A 1947 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Paddy had been a key punch operator at John Morrell & Co. in Ottumwa. She had been a sales person for Stanley Home Products and had helped at Bauman & Christy State Farm Insurance. She had been a sales person for Stanley Home Products and had helped at Bauman & Christy State Farm Insurance. She was a charter member of Bible Baptist Church where she was the organist for over 60 years and taught Sunday school. Paddy loved to travel with her husband, Bob, and considered her biggest accomplishment was being a mother. Surviving are her children, Doug (Sue) Bauman, Shirley (Randy) Davis, Vickie (Jim) Burgess and Sherie Anders all of Ottumwa; 5 grandchildren, Wendy Davis, Tim (Kate) Burgess, Daniel (Heather) Burgess, Heather Rich and Chris (Amanda) Sieren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (David) Ortega of Apache Junction, AZ; 2 brothers, Jim (Beverly Christy and Dick (Janeane) Christy both of Ottumwa; a sister-in-law, Linda Christy of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bob Christy and a sister, Connie Warton. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Ed Matthews officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation begins at 11 a.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
