Description	:	Patricia Jean Aunspach was born on September 29, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert William and Minnie Denberger Barnhouse. She was raised in Newton, Iowa and graduated from Newton High School in 1947. Her father died when she was six years old and she and her only sibling, Bill, who was two years younger the she, were provided for by their devoted mother until such time as they were old enough to provide for themselves. Read More	Patricia Jean Aunspach was born on September 29, 1926 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Herbert William and Minnie Denberger Barnhouse. She was raised in Newton, Iowa and graduated from Newton High School in 1947. Her father died when she was six years old and she and her only sibling, Bill, who was two years younger the she, were provided for by their devoted mother until such time as they were old enough to provide for themselves. She worked her way through the University of Iowa and graduated with a fine arts degree in 1951. She married Dale Aunspach on October 14, 1951 and they moved to Marshalltown a few years later. Although the marriage eventually ended, Patricia remained a Marshalltown resident. She worked in the arts and crafts area of the Iowa Veterans Home for many years and after retirement, enjoyed worldwide traveling. She was a faithful and active member of the First Church of the Nazarene, and will be greatly missed by her loving family and many friends. Patricia died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Indian River Memorial Hospital in Vero Beach. Patricia is survived by her brother: H.W. "Bill" (Nancy) Barnhouse of Vero Beach, Florida; nephew: Stephen Barnhouse of Daytona Beach, niece: Rebecca Barnhouse of Youngstown, Ohio; and a cousin: Gladys Shankland of Peoria, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents.
