Description	:	Patricia Goddard was born May 29, 1925 in Ellendale, ND. She grew up in Ellendale where she received her education, graduating from Ellendale High School in 1942. Pat attended the University of North Dakota where she received her degree in journalism in 1946. She moved to Chicago where she worked for Marshall Fields. She later moved back to North Dakota and worked for the Fargo Forum Newspaper. Read More	Patricia Goddard was born May 29, 1925 in Ellendale, ND. She grew up in Ellendale where she received her education, graduating from Ellendale High School in 1942. Pat attended the University of North Dakota where she received her degree in journalism in 1946. She moved to Chicago where she worked for Marshall Fields. She later moved back to North Dakota and worked for the Fargo Forum Newspaper. Pat returned to Ellendale where she worked with her father and brother in the family business, the Dickey County Leader newspaper. On May 26, 1962, she was united in marriage with Robert Schmidt in Ellendale, ND. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1964. Pat was a member of Calvary Episcopal Cathedral and St. Elizabeth Guild, PEO Sisterhood, and the Alpha Phi International Fraternity. Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Robert, of Sioux Falls; two daughters, Katherine Hunter of Sioux Falls and Elizabeth (Dwight) Hedgcock, of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Caroline Hedgcock of Chicago, IL and Nicholas Hunter, of Haymarke, VA; a niece, Claire (Mark) Persson of Bismarck, ND; a nephew, Christopher Goddard of Phoenix, AZ; a sister-in-law, Sharon (Dr. M.J.) Schoeberl of Caledonia, MN; a niece, Shelly Schoeberl of St. Paul, MN; and a special friend, Mary Maixner of Sioux Falls. The family of Patricia Schmidt thanks you for your support and presence today. An invitation is extended to join them at the church for refreshments and fellowship immediately following the funeral service.
