She was born in Fort Fairfield, ME, the daughter of the late Percy and Nellie (Philbrick) McNeal. She is predeceased by her brothers Walter, Leo and Edward McNeal. Read More	Patricia McNeal 1934 - 2007 CHICOPEE - Patricia (Pat) McNeal, 73, of Chicopee, passed into eternal life on Sunday December 23, 2007 at Baystate Medical Center in Spring-field. She was born in Fort Fairfield, ME, the daughter of the late Percy and Nellie (Philbrick) McNeal. She is predeceased by her brothers Walter, Leo and Edward McNeal. Upon graduating from Fort Fairfield High School, Pat moved to New York onto Connecticut and then settled in Massachusetts in the early 60's. She was a member of St Mary's Church of Chicopee. She worked for the Samuel Black Publishing Co., Cumberland Farms and she retired as a bus driver from the Springfield PVTA. Pat was very active in all aspects of Woman's softball. She was a catcher for the MA Manning Cadaletts which had the first lighted softball field in Western MA. She coached 13-15 girls and was the coach of the Western Mass Merchant Fast Pitch Softball Team. She was an umpire and was the Western Mass State Commissioner for Women's Softball. Pat enjoyed helping others, loved dog and cat sitting, being around friends and eating at her favorite restaurant Jennifer's Kitchen in Chicopee. Pat will be missed and always remembered by her nieces and nephews, Suzanne Sal and family of Hamilton, MI; Janet Isaac and family of Farwell, MI; Steven McNeal and family of Holland MI; David McNeal and family of Fennville, MI; Donald McNeal and family of Aurora CO and Karen Clark and family of Philadelphia, PA. She also leaves her cherished friends and extended family Joan Valentino, Debbie Burrill, Pat Parker and Margie Brown. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday January 5, 2008 at 10:00 AM in St Mary's Church, Chicopee MA with burial at St Rose de Lima Cemetery in Chicopee. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association 393 Maple St Springfield, MA, or to the Chicopee Parks and Recreation Department, 687 Front Street, Chicopee MA, for use in Children's programs. The Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield Street is in charge of services.
