Description	:	OTTUMWA- Patricia “Pat” Brown, 84, of Ottumwa died June 26, 2016 at Hospice House. She was born July 23, 1931 in Eldon, IA to Clarence and Nina Cole Thomas. She married Charles D. Brown on January 22, 1950. He preceded her in death on September 6, 1972. A graduate of Ottumwa High School, she held her real estate license and was an accountant. Pat became owner of the business when Rex died in 2006 and continued as the bookkeeper for First Pentecostal Assembly of God. She served on Ottumwa Board of Realtors where she had served as treasurer and president. She was a member of American Business Women’s Association. Having been a 4-H leader for many years, she served on the Wapello Co. 4-H Council. Surviving are her son, Charles (Dr. Kim) Brown of Ottumwa and Michelle (Kevin M.) Waggoner of Donnellson; eight grandchildren, Danielle (Gil) Wukitsch, Melissa (Dr. Michael) Nguyen, Dr. Kirsten (Dr. Scott) Radke, Arielle Brown, Kevin C. (Ashley) Waggoner, Michael (Jennifer) Waggoner, Paderic Waggoner and Sarah Waggoner; five great-grandchildren, Ava, Grant, Cora, Iris and Mason; two brothers, Orville Leonard Thomas of Cedar Rapids and Richard “Dick” Thomas of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Amy Sylvester and a brother Earl “Eddie” Thomas. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Voels officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
