She was born Dec. 5, 1941, southwest of Quinter to Michael A. and Mary Ann (Augustine) Younger-Brock-Whitaker. She married Warren Falley on Sept. 30, 1961, in Park. Read More	Patricia Rose “Pat” Falley, 73, Quinter, died Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Salina Regional Health Center. She was born Dec. 5, 1941, southwest of Quinter to Michael A. and Mary Ann (Augustine) Younger-Brock-Whitaker. She married Warren Falley on Sept. 30, 1961, in Park. She was a 1959 graduate of Quinter High School and attended Fort Hays State College. In August 1968, she started working for Dillon Division in the meat department until retirement in May 1997. Survivors include her husband; a son, Duane D., Victoria; a daughter, Diana Overton, Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Paul Joseph Younger, Firestone, Colo.; two sisters, Delores Ann Worthington, Manhattan, and Mary Aileen Zerr, Quinter; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park; burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Quinter. A vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Sacred Heart Altar Society in care of the funeral home. Falley , 83, Victoria, died Saturday, June 1, 2019, at his son's home in Victoria. He was born Jan. 12, 1936, on the Brown County line in Kansas to Daniel Vernet Falley and Dorothea (Dorothy) Margaret Wilcox- Falley. He was a 1954 graduate of Highland High School. He was in active duty with the Kansas National Guard. In 1955, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and trained for mechanical duties on military heavy equipment. He drove trucks for River Bridge Construction gang on Highway 36 bridge near Highland. In 1960, he ran a metal press in Omaha, Neb. He also drove cattle haulers from Nebraska to Kansas City. He began a career at Fort Riley Army Base, Fort Riley, in 1963. They lived in Ogden and he retired as head mechanic after 32 years of services at Fort Riley in 1995. They returned to Quinter in 1997. He moved in with his son and his wife, Lynda, in Victoria in November 2015 until his death. He was a proud member of 50 years with Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th Degree. His memberships included Teamster Union with American Federation No. 2324 of Fort Riley; Eagle Legion No. 3774, WaKeeney, American Legion Post No. 17, Manhattan, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Park. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening to provide for his family, and traveling with his wife. Survivors include a son, Duane D. Falley and wife, Lynda, Victoria; a daughter, Diana M. Overton, Mount Vernon, Ohio; four grandchildren, Nicole Ferrell and husband, Edward, Denton, Texas, Ronald Overton, Jr., Califonia, Natasha Cole and husband, Gavin, Mount Vernon, and Joshua Overton and wife, Jada, Hampton, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Layla Rose and Ezra Gavin Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sisters, Helen Pearl Falley and Cora Louise Miller; and a niece, Pamela Miller Benner. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria; burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, in Highland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday with a family rosary at 12:30 p.m., both at the basilica. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Hays Medical Center or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
